  • Know Your Customer (KYC) Data (For Local Guides): To ensure the safety of our community, we collect verification documents from Local Guides during onboarding. This may include, but is not limited to:
    • Identity Proof: Government-issued documents such as an Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driver’s License, or Passport.
    • Address Proof: Documents such as an Electricity Bill, GST Certificate, Property Documents, Rent Agreement, or other recent Utility Bills.
  • Content Data: All raw and final content, including videos, images, audio files, and listing descriptions you upload or that are created on your behalf.
  • Derivative Data: Information our servers automatically collect when you access the Platform, such as your IP address, browser type, and access times.

3. Use of Your Information

Having accurate information about you permits us to provide a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Perform KYC verification to approve Local Guide profiles.
  • Facilitate user-to-user communication after an enquiry is made.
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Platform.
  • Monitor and analyze usage and trends.
  • Protect against fraud and ensure the security of our Platform and users.
  • Notify you of updates.

4. Disclosure of Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations:

  • By Law or to Protect Rights: We may share your KYC information with law enforcement or legal authorities if required by law, a court order, or a valid legal request. We may also share information if we believe it is necessary to investigate potential violations of our policies or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others.
  • User Enquiries: When a Tourist raises an enquiry, we will share the necessary contact information (e.g., name and mobile number) between the Tourist and the Local Guide to facilitate their communication.
  • Third-Party Service Providers: We may share your information with trusted third parties that perform services for us or on our behalf, such as data storage or platform analytics. These providers are obligated to protect your data.

5. Security of Your Information

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information, especially sensitive KYC data. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure your information, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.

6. Your Data Rights

You may at any time review or change the information in your account or terminate your account. Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, some information may be retained in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our Terms of Service, and/or comply with legal requirements.
